ANI Nickel Plating

Autocatalytic Nickel Infusion (A.N.I) is the latest technological advance in electroless nickel deposition. It is a specially developed process used for severe environment protection of the UniTorq actuator. The UniTorq process of A.N.I. uses a higher concentration of phosphorous in the nickel bath than normal electroless nickel plating processes. The extra phosphorous results in a harder evenly infused nickel deposition over the entire surface. The finished UniTorq A.N.I actuator therefore, has a superior corrosion protection and greater hardness. Another advanced feature of the A.N.I. process is the utilization of a special pioneered "real time x-ray deposition monitor". The device allows complete control for the exact uniform nickel deposit desired. This process is the most advanced procedure available today.

A.N.I. vs. Electroplating A.N.I. is an extremely uniform method. Electroplating, due to high and low areas of current density, results in heavy deposit build up in corners and minimal or no coverage in recesses.
